That, or she had her memories erased and false ones implanted. She knew too much, saw something she shouldn't have in a back alley or something. Would fit right in with the dystopia setting.

I know CGDCT manga often contain lots of information about their particular niche, but combined with the TL notes at the end, this really feels educational for using Japan's railway transportation.
Why does everyone in Japan have repressed memories of drowning as a child? Or total amnesia of whoever they hung out with in elementary school before moving? Seems like a pretty concerning trend.

Yep. I can spot the words "violence", "rebel", "army", "France" and "Darfur". Not exactly fitting with this manga's tone, but also not the worst since it is about smoking addiction. I've seen some kids anime and idol MVs with newspapers and clothing talking about celebrity gossip...
I kind of want to start a collection of "non-Western media using Latin text without realizing that it says something super depressing and out of place because they didn't just go with lorem ipsum" images.
