The fact that the inn owner was ok with Hajime coping a feel of his daughter if he married her and took over... not sure how I feel about that. Like, on one hand that means he's supportive and trusting of Hajime to be both a good successor and a potential husband, but on the other hand he's willing to let a man just cop a feel of his daughter so long as they marry her right after. I mean, cultural and common sense differences between eras and all that, sure, but it still doesn't sit well with me. Maybe if it was the daughter that said that I'd be fine with it and it'd add to the comedy aspect.

I feel like manga representation of children is entirely false advertising. They are cute.... Occasionally. Not like 99% cute 1% smashing your face into a wall but the reverse.
