I'm still impressed that this Chinese manhua that started as some sort of derivative Naruto reincarnation story is still so goddamn interesting after almost 200 chapters.
I usually drop Chinese stories fast, mostly because they become a "Monster of the week" type of story, and I get lost in all the names and Chinese folklore nomenclatures that the authors expect me to remember. (the worst is when all the names a awfully similar, like if FMC1 was Ziyun, FMC2 was Zyiun, 3; Ziyen, 4; Ziiyeun, ...).
This might sound a bit pejorative, but I mean it as a compliment: This in the most Japanese Manhua I've ever read.
Also... I can't wait to see how this nightly visit will go

@aFFi arent all chinese manhua like usually the same settings?
something to do with "chi" or some sort of energy within the body, and breaking those limits to reach the next "rank" or w/e in martial arts they practice?
Usually some sort of cheat item, or very rarely some sort of travel back in time and using knowledge from previous life to cheat, etc...
someone told me that most of the chinese manhua usually source the same material (writings) and then they change some things to make them different from the rest.
I still like this one and the other one that have 2 girls fighting for the MC

Mmmh, up to chapter 81, you are correct, the chapters were only around 10 pages.
but from chapter 82 to now, each release is numbered as full then half chapter. Since then, all the chapters are around 15 to 20 pages, that's a pretty good length I think.
That means that 113 chapters are full length, and you would count 81 as half, that still 153.5 "proper" chapters.
Seeing that it's closer to my number, I win!?

I'm not sure that Ning'er is better wife material... Yeah, she did more for him in this life, but seeing how dedicated Nie Li is to Ziyun, she must be something special.
She just didn't have her time to impress us... but she clearly impressed Nie Li.

@aFFi : Ziyun impressed Nie li in his previous life. And that's why he is chasing after her now.
For my part, I think that the Ziyun of the previous life isn't the same that the actual one. Yes, past Ziyun was surely great, strong, funny, caring and more; but current Ziyun is none of that and is rather a little too bland (because MC is too much cocooning her).
Which make the chasing a little sad because MC is attracted by the thought of a lost Ziyun and disregard Ning'er which has shown far more qualities.
