Sensei could have make it a bit cooler. Peoples were hyping this scene as it was the best scene in the story, really disappointing.

The attack is pretty interesting. He forms multiple lenses in the sky with water, to collect sunlight over a vast distance, then focuses it through other lenses until a coherent beam is formed, then redirects it to his targets. Imagine all the power of the sun across a hundred square miles, focused into a beam as wide as your fingertip.

@kite722
meh, when things use science, I give the benefit of the doubt that they are trying.
to magnify light requires a fairly large glass so it's big enough to instantly vaporize things, this is more or less showing he is using it as a laser so focal distance can be ignored.
now, a 1 yard big mirror with a focal point the size of 1 inch is capable of melting a rock, a wide beam would require even larger optics/focal areas to the point its not entirely viable.
granted not all of this is likely what the author thought but the thinking was probably along these lines.

@Blazer168
He killed her to obtain a new skill :
"Survivor". It allow him to always regenerate his body like in the beginning of the chapter but each of Geld' strike also damage his spirit and the skill cannot heal that. That why he almost died. And that why the mage was able to easily destroyed it to to take over his body.

Rimuru proved to be good on this occasion too, he preferred to use a single painless shot rather than make them suffer.

@Alowhale same here was very much looking forward to it. How they tried to scramble and escape etc. This is like someone decided to delete unwanted files...... very bland and uninteresting. They don't even bother to describe what he did to cast it.

@MisterXiado @alidan It was explained (indirectly through the soldiers comments) that it is water-cutters. "What are these water droplets", not "what are these light/spatial orbs".

@alidan it was explained more on the ln, and im guessing it would be as well on the next chapter. Nonetheless, it was water orbs that were used with raphael's (or whichever the great sage is called at this point) help.
