A Capable Maid - Ch. 37

@comeonnow because those people never had the power to look into her past as a commoner. Lying to the prince and any other high ranking noble means they could easily look into her claims of being a commoner. Like go to her hometown and ask if they ever knew a person like her existed or so on. War prisoner may be restrictive but it's closer to the truth and a good lie is always close to the truth.

Guess that both candidates have awful personality..

Thanks for the translation 😊

She admitted to being a war prisoner, it might make it's way to the prince, probably by the thot insulting her in front of the prince who will not be to happy.

Yeah yeah she’s neither noble nor commoner but ROYAL, y’know? 🙄 // btw, thanks for updated !! <3

I'm already in love with the b*tchy dark haired one... I know she's supposed to be "evil" but I find her hot and hilarious. Love her!

@comeonnow @Mai_loves_icecream
She is a war prisoner. It's not a lie at all. She disguised herself as a maid when the palace was captured, and then was taken prisoner instead of being murdered for being a royal. Then, as a war prisoner, she was forced to work as a maid for her captors. Her employers know she's a war prisoner.

Bitch you ain’t going anywhere if the prince finds out what rubbish you’ve been sayin to Marie 🙄

Marie is very popular this chapter: two girls and the crown prince.
Ahem.

Anyway, maybe Rachel is smarter (and less of a bi-) than Ariel and wants to get Marie on her side because she knows Marie serves the crown prince.
Well, I guess we'll see next chapter? I hope she's not as nasty as that Ariel.

Also, can't the crown prince just... accidentally talk about Princess Morina while Marie is in hearing distance?

@icekatze She is not a war prisoner. That is a cover story. She is the fallen princess of the Cloyan Kingdom. She got a job as a maid. She was very bad at it until she got magic. While she was a bad maid, she was basically a free person. No one knew or cared about Marie the random maid. After getting main character syndrome and magic, she rose in the maid ranks until she got transferred to the royal palace. Even at that time, she was still basically the same as anyone else. Marie was still a free woman for all anyone cared.

When the prince found out she's a master composer, that's when she lied about being a war prisoner. She was literally never captured before this.
