So the Cone heads, who are otherwise in charge, simply kill all these proto-humans before they can take over. (So a bit of a robot rebellion behind everything as well)

This chapter scared me and made me cry the cone heads are lowkey scary asf. It's a friggin machine chasing you mercilessly, and you dont even know if they'll rip you apart if they catch you
I know bulb is just a golem, but I dunno, it was heartbreaking to realize that he didn't know his master was dead and that his efforts were in vain
