A Stepmother's Märchen - Vol. 1 Ch. 41 - Christmas (8)

The Prince is clearly a villain. He's manipulative. Look what he has done to Nora.

@drab_lightstick unfortunately, that isn't what the guards translated it as—they translated it as "attempted assassination of the Crown Prince", which is a far bigger deal.

Also, the priest looks very likely to be the one who has an axe to grind against Shuli. It appears to me that if it if the priest is the one in question that he sent the boy to stop the Prince from getting any closer to Shuli. Though, he may also be seeking to destroy Shuli in the process—based upon his stated beliefs that women acting like Shuli are an abomination before the Divine.

Provided that the translation is correct, they may seem to execute him for treason against the crown🤦🤦‍♂️. It's a common tactic. Shuli likely is gonna go into shock because history is repeating itself.

It may also be the case that the priest was behind Shuli's murder in the original timeline, but we'll have to wait to see what happens.

My heart....I can't take this cliffhanger...
Thank you for translation.... really truly appreciate the work....but my heart...

Hahah this was fun *cries tears of blood*

Btw I like the prince, he makes a very interesting character/villain/whatever it's going on with him.

its just a punch, its not like he stab the prince or something, also is the guard watching them like way way before? then they should know right? I know yeah its the prince but attempted assassination??! punch?? *facepalm*

I kinda happy that the prince get a punch in that smug face of his but arghhh not like this >.<

well . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . shit.

i feel so sad for shuli. even tho she’s a mother of 4, she also want to take breaks and wants the things normally kids of her age get to experience. but it seems every time she does that something goes horribly wrong

Why does the prince make everything harder for shuli? He should just mind his own business and leave her alone like he did in the last life!
