Haven’t read the novel yet but felt like this manga skimmed through a lot of things. Can’t blame the author since it looks like this was cancelled. What a shame, one more volume fitting the slow building-up of this manga and it could’ve been perfect

Yep. Adaption is definitely following this one. Really not liking it though. They really overdid the special effects and it chips away at the cuteness like a mallet. And they seem to be emphasizing awkwardness of the situations rather than shyness or their cute embarrassment. Its enjoyable, but doesn't do it justice by any means
Rant on everything I disliked about the anime thus far

The cog. Why? That was such a cute scene, why destroy it by replacing the entire background with a cog.
The sun. Why do you keep adding these needless effects. They are very cute as girls. They make terrible sun silhouettes (or at least the effects team is terrible at turning them into one).
Standing in a booth. No, that doesn't happen. Its a booth, not a hall. They slid in because they cant walk into it. just let her sit naturally like she was originally. Just subtle movements while seated please. Or at least dont have her stand completely up and turn sideways as if the table didn't exist at all
Paper mache genki at the restaurant. Again, this was a cute scene. Why do you refuse to let her look cute?
Bowling miasma silhouette. Seriously? Miasma is one thing, but at least stop with the silhouettes

Ep-4. Pointlessly add a teenage lolicon gawking a a bunch of lolis in the gym. Neither of which existed previously. Next scene "Wow, I don't like you. Its rare to see a person younger than me in the gym". Really? Why add that disgusting scene, especially when it ruins the premise of the very next one?

Back to the manga, no matter how many times I saw it, I read that font's
"UMM"
as
"LIVIVI"
and got supper confused for 30 seconds. Anyone else have trouble reading that? No... I'm alone.....
