Hmmm, I'm typically not against the recycling of the same general plot like this uses. I know what I like and it is entertaining to see how they develop the same idea differently. But, this plot device is one that bothers me a bit sometimes. Like it works sure but, sometimes it just feels so... weak. Like the author just didn't bother to really think it through and slapped a trope starter to get their plot moving. Not really bad per say and it's certainly not only one to do it. But, it's prolly developing into a pet peeve of mine lol. For now though, onwards with the show!
