Man, I'm not sure you could portray characters with more of a hand wave if you tried. Considering white hair girl just committed capital offense (and for some reason everyone just took her word for it and everyone immediately turned against a noble family no questions asked with seemingly no political ramifications) you'd think they'd develop things a little bit more as to what their motivations are and what kind of a messed up tyrannical monarchy this is, but nope. We just need an enemy.

Well that is not great story telling but this isn't important, what matter is that she somehow fools the crown prince by whatever mean, it could be fake evidence and what not; she is very close to the Marquis family so that is possible and I don't think anyone would like to waste a chapter or two with this.

@MRain @a707 I don't know dude it's pretty realistic for me. Sometimes jealousy, feeling mocked can be a drive to crime. It's dumb, but at least I know a few real-life people who tried to kill their best friends just because their best friends have better lives than they do and because they feel the kindness they get is a way of 'mocking' them. Humans are dumb, some of us easily succumb to mere emotions, but suck it up, cuz that's what life's got for us

@anzuda Idk why but yeah, if a higher ranked noble (a richer person) helps you, you can't help but think it's sympathy that drives them to do so. The reason? Well, inferiority complex andddd your favourite dear insecurity~ And do you know why some people hate sympathy or pity? Lemme tell you a story then. Once there was this one poor guy who lost his entire family, and many people sympathize with him, so they helped him. Grateful, the poor guy, too, determined himself, worked and worked harder. Often, he even missed his sleep for that. His boss was amazed, thus giving him a promotion. In the end, he became successful, but those who used to sympathize him turned jealous. That's human nature, and no, the story is derived from a real person. Sadly almost no love in this world is sincere. There are few, but there are more of those who have a motive behind their kindness. Sympathy sounds beautiful, but it can also turn twisted easily. If you find those who love you sincerely, then be grateful, treasure them.

The world can be a dark place that forces you to adapt and changes you without you realizing.

@32oiru Well jealousy of kindness lead to killing their best friend sure sounds a bit far fetch but in this world a guy dancing in the street with a pink tight outfit become a successful singer, life happen buttt jealousy of kindness lead to destroying the MC family/anything that she hold dear, torture her, mentally break her and NTR her sound just a bit far fetch to me.

I mean I know some people that hold a grudge to nice people, but it's not because the nice thing but because they suspect he/she is being nice because he/she have some kinda agenda towards them, even then this people wouldn't just murder this nice people they just bicker in the background, I mean accidentally murder sure but destroying their whole life is a bit too far fetch IMO.
