As Asian I know we eat rice in daily basis, but every isekai I read when the mc want eat rice, I can't stand it why they can't adapt to a new world and why there always rice if the mc want eat rice it's like the world adapt with all Japanese coming to their world, sometimes it feels forced too.

Disregarding the story for now, the characters aren't bad at all.
What's more, he has guy friends who worry about him, which is nice. Saran's death was also a nice inciting accident, albeit the curse and corrupt royalty thing is beyond shit.
It has a nice vibe to it. Abides to the isekai mold, but still kinda nice. (I use the word nice a lot, don't I...)
Well, it is nice, for a casual read. I'll probably forget about it in an hour, but oh well.

@Edjan As someone who comes from a country where rIce is also widely loved, I believe it's due to the fact that rice goes well with so many things that most food you eat has some amount of Rice in it. We do have many kinds of food that doesn't use rice, but at least 90% of the food we eat normally in our homes contains rice.
We even have our own rice balls, although ours have 0 in common with the japanese ones. Ours is fried with onion and parmesan cheese in the middle, very delicious, and I would certainly like to hear a Japanese opinion on it.

I like how there are plenty of (good-looking) male characters here, and the characters are all nice overall. However, since Asahina turns out to be another addition to "always together since childhood, but..." Akira-Tsukasa (even if he's like, the 3rd wheel), I sure wish he appeared way before, like for some kind of foreshadowing. This is a bit too sudden.

On another note, I ship the gay.

Don't see why all the hate on liking rice. I'm American and I eat rice 3-4 times a week. Cheap, filling, takes on the flavors of what ever you cook it with or add to it. Red beans and sausage, pork roast, baked chicken and red gravy, I could go on.

I'd be missing rice if I was isekai'd, just saying.

rice eh... i always wonder how can people be full just by eating a piece of steak... and guess what for me i eat it with rice and it just becomes more filling... well im asian and tbh i hate eating rice... its flipping bland and u eat it everyday (if not prolly would be noodles) but as long as the dishes r great the thing just makes it better
