BEASTARS - Vol. 16 Ch. 141 - A Mermaid's Song with Bubbles

@aldes Seems in general their society is entirely disconnected, which makes sense, but now a few people like the seal buddy are finally bridging the gap. But yeah, no land animals enforcing laws on sea creatures apparently.

Well shit. At this rate Legosi is going to become animal Jesus. He just won't die, despite his suicidal stupidity, and he befriends every animal including ones that try to kill him. Hell, I'm pretty sure that once he finds out Melon's weakness he won't even hurt him, just like what happened with the murderbear.
At least the slice of life parts of it are fun. Zaguan is cute.
Thanks for the translation!

I mean, cool, but his feet should be burned beyond belief. don't mess with cement and skin/fur, people!

Feels a bit convenient but I'll take it, it does make sense for Zaguan to go so far to tell Legosi those phrases.

I'm intrigued that sharks and thus fish species don't appear to be anthropomorphized like the seals. Sorta like that snake security guard?

That said, seems to be a nice shark. I'd love to see more of the under sea world

"I shall eat you right away" I almost feel of my chair of the laughter.

So nice to see my favorite species finally on the series.

@anthurium but it doesnt keep him from getting hurt. he already has the scars on his back face and arm to prove that. also he's toothless but he did that to himself.

Rather than seaspeak with seal accent, I found that the shark's appearance was much more deus ex machina. With how close the sea was with a cliff, I would think shark stay away from such area. Maybe if a whale or dolphin showed up it would make a little bit more sense. Or small fishes. Then again, I have no idea how shark actually lives and their general living area.

But this point doesn't suprass the line for my suspension of disbelief because the shark was really amusing. I guess that's the whole deal actually with Beastars. Legosi can be animal Jesus as @MilkDrinker above said, but honestly, that wouldn't be a surprise, feel like that's what the author intended to anyway.

So in conclusion, this story is just that good (at least, for me).
