i've tried reading this series a few times, and this is always my favourite arc. it feels like a huge step for everyone's character

I saw this ending (where both Yukio and Gin die) coming from the start of this arc.

The stories are very linear.

Holy shit, this is a heavy arc. Lotta character development and a lot of pain. Beautifully written and executed.

man, this was a heavy arc.

I'm sad about how it turned out, but I think I expected it from around when Yukio left behind her friend.

She just rings all sorts of bells for serious depression for me, and given japan's stance on mental health, plus her bodyguard being an enabler, the outcome was all but assured.

still sucks, though.
