Boku no Kanojo ga Majime Sugiru Shojo Bitch na Ken - Vol. 4 Ch. 50

Ok seriously.this is the second one this week. What with making ecchi romcom heros into girls

Is this like a thing now

@UltimateAdrian20 Even in the west, crossdressing is a trope in comedy, and has been for a long time.

Examples:
Some Like It Hot
Mrs Doubtfire
Monty Python
Bosom Buddies (A TV series based entirely around this idea)
The Poetic Edda, a collection of ancient poems and stories that provides most of what we know about Norse mythology, which features a story where Thor has to disguise himself as a woman and it is treated comedically

(@Wordsmith) Yeah..no , its not cross-dressing that bothers me. Lots of stories have done it before, and they have done it in their own way with different circumstances and scenarios .That in itself is fine

Im specifically talking about the recent ecchi genderswap thing thats going on.
Like when the main male hero in an ecchi romcom series is literally considered plain or average as a guy, but it is somehow made to look cute as a girl
Like suddenly every male ecchi hero became Yuki Rito from To Love Ru
Shouldnt it work in both ways?

If my best friend came out of a house disguised as a chick because it was the only way to not get his ass beat, I'd be too busy dying of laughter to hear the explaination.

@UltimateAdrian20 The idea of a guy who is plain or ugly suddenly being considered attractive when in drag is also fairly old.

The late Terry Pratchett parodied the idea in one of the Discworld books, Jingo, with the following passage:
Corporal Nobbs's appearance could best be summarized this way.
One of the minor laws of the narrative universe is that any homely man who has, for some reason, to disguise himself as a woman will apparently become attractive to some otherwise perfectly sane men with, as the ancient scrolls say, hilarious results.
In this case the laws were fighting against the fact of Corporal Nobby Nobbs, and gave up.

Can't say I expected a treatise on classic & classical literature in this comment thread. I learned something today, well done lads.
