Spot on!
Well, I'm neither surprised nor disappointed at the ending as I had pretty much given up all hope that the mangaka could convince me in one chapter that Noda actually likes Katou as a person, and not just because he makes bentos for her. Nope, not convinced at all. If he stopped making bentos for her, would Noda drop him like an empty bento box and start searching for someone else to "marry?" Undoubtedly. And what if that paper airplane had landed on Senpai? Would she then dump Katou for him? Most likely since she already spends more time with him than her "boyfriend."
The series had potential, but it was wasted by promoting the interests, activities and romances of side-characters instead of focusing on the main couple. From start to finish there was no romantic progress between Noda and Katou.
