@ICYCOZY the manga is at 48 chapters right now. No signs of it ending yet, but I could imagine it wrapping up in 2-3 volumes, though it could also go longer if the author really wanted to. There's a lot of subplots to solve still.

I don’t know if it’s the atmosphere, how it’s written/drawn, her personality, or meant to be like that, but I cannot take her seriously. I actually still like her. Like she's cartoonish in how she sees herself as being above everyone but she still respects the mc enough to the point where she isn't hateable

Hmm. I've read a lot of shoujo mangas. I must say, that even the supposed love rival is quite refreshing? Idk like it's kind of nice to see how she's honest with herself in that she knows she's pretty and knows she has an advantage because of this. I'm not saying she necessarily has a good personality. But she's doesn't seem like the type to go below the belt.

I think that her doing "research" shows how she respects the MC enough to consider her a rival. I think that's why I'm looking at this more positively. She may be a bit arrogant because of her looks (you kind of expect her to be anyways) but she's not so full of herself that she lacks the awareness to recognize that it's very much possible for the ML to like someone else. That's exactly why she's been working hard to get close to him and is now trying to find out the FL's appeal, despite how many would say that she clearly has the upper hand.

I'm quite disappointed to see this going down the regular shoujo manga tropes. I thought Ugui would be Tabata's wingwoman since at the bowling center, she actively coupled Tabata with Ueno. Does anyone knows any shoujo manga with "plain girl X popular guy" with beautiful girl as wingwoman?

@reika in real life yes but in the manga they changed the name because of trademark infringement. They also changed Mac (from McDonald's) to Wac, and a few others here and there.
I did consider just adapting it to LINE but I enjoy the fictitious names.

Huh, kinda disappointed that she didn't indeed have pure intentions, but it seems like this manga can still make the trope work nicely, after all she isn't really evil, just a little childish and self-absorbed, which is believable with the way she grew up, and from my experience lots of pretty girls that age tend to put up a cutesy front for the guys, but luckily they often grow out of it overtime. Also, that scene with the worms was hilarious XD
