Buta Koushaku ni Tensei Shitakara, Kondo wa Kimi ni Suki to Iitai - Vol. 2 Ch. 9

This lady(?) thinks that she can just defeat him like that?? Too naive... he has some things up his sleeve... can't tell how he just learns magic and stuff even if he has just watched the anime...

This chapter was so hype, the monthly update us so torturing, but if it produces these lengthy and high quality chapters, it's worth it. Can't wait for the next chapter when Slow thanos snaps her final move away.

Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka? does some beautiful work with RPG-style stats, but you have to stick with it long enough
(literally like 150 chapters of the WN version), otherwise it more or less comes across as a quirky, well-executed, but more or less stock video game world.

Specific spoilers:
For various reasons, the entire world is wrapped in an RPG system, but it's also entirely possible to exist outside the system, with both ups and downs. For example, poison created in the system is actually... just regular water outside the system. But physics and chemistry still exist in the world: At one point, one character fights another by blocking the system, using an robot and flooding the room with CO2. Blocking the system prevents the system from taking effect outside of their body (no magic and only internal buffs are possible, basically), robots are, well, like the Terminator in strength, and CO2 means that the victim will basically have to constantly focus on regenerating themselves internally.

@Keansor Yes, there is. Most of the time, WN is amateurish non edited works and when it got published as LN it edited to fit the medium and sometimes the author rewrite the stories to make it more interesting or just to simply differentiate between WN and LN.

@givemersspls Yeah having no status bar is pretty fun since escalation of power doesnt get POWER LEVELS type of crazy, I personally enjoy most isekais until they become: rapey, too harem, too wishfullfillment, the MC doesnt have an objective (there are some where is still enjoyable here thou), too edgy, too many plotholes or the story doesnt progress. So I tend to begin a lot of isekai to just drop em.

And yeah the Slow Denim one is good also because he doesnt just become fit, he does work hard for it and it is helping him (the new chapter where he states that because of exercise is now able to move that way). People doesnt just randomly stop disliking him, neither they want to outright kill him, and people slowly begin to open up to him.

This chapter had more FUN ACTION than 99% of the Isekais/RPG like trash series out there and those to still come. I rate it 9.5/10 because I'm a bastard. xD

@Kiriha I get that, of course. I guess I'm mostly just surprised because this is the first time I've seen the contents of a LN version differ so wildly from the WN - though my experiencing the LN through the likely also modified manga version could be contributing.

@screamdoom
I assure you, he is going to stink when the battle is over.

@HuevoPodrido
Not enough money to make a battle like this in CG.

@Keansor
same here, im actually happy, because now Ill be surprised at the next happenings, Im guessing there will be no school attack anymore.

Question
Since the Piggy duke have been changing his personality and attitude in order to avoid the bad ending of his character. Wouldn't it basically change the entire original story and may or may not result in something that will be beyond his own power (Knowledge based on what he knows about the story). Don't get me wrong, I love the story! but it seems too good for it to go smoothly without any consequences for altering the original story.

@boag Well, although I said the movie, actually it's a complain towards the source material, the books. She wrote an epic battle Dumbledore vs Voldemort on tha Magic Ministery. Something on the lines of this chapter. We needed that for the final battle.

@HuevoPodrido

I have not read the potter books, but im guessing it would have been hard to do it underbudget when the movie was being produced, nowawadays it seems everything is abit cheaper

@Kucai That would be logical, change the events, you change the timeline. This ain't Steins;Gate though, so it almost surely won't explore fates worse than what he's trying to avoid. But it would be logical that things would eventually change enough that Piggy Duke can't remember future events to his advantage anymore. Though it is ultimately up to the author to explore it or not.

@givemersspls it's late to be bad mouthing SAO now, but the bridge fight you're talking about takes place in a low level zone, with relatively low level PKs, the front line players are at least twenty levels higher than that area. Kirito plays on the "front line" in his spare time, which is where the real problem should be, people should be complaining about how he can "solo" help a raid group, without anyone noticing he's been helping, and still be found napping on the side of the road by the lowbies.

@givemersspls he said that right from the start of the series, when Kayaba tells them they're trapped. He says that he needs to go fight off screen, in the most dangerous areas, but definitely off screen, to stay ahead of the other players. Levels mattered in the first game, he went full Gary Stu in Alfhein though, since he warped the game itself to make him op.
