Buta Koushaku ni Tensei Shitakara, Kondo wa Kimi ni Suki to Iitai - Vol. 3 Ch. 15

@rebath - A nobles internal family situation - such as being a fat lazy slob who is a disappointment does not suddenly allow anyone of lower rank to dishonor them

Slow is the first son of a Duke and inheritor of the peerage. the highest peerage of all non-royals. He has not lost his inheritance, he is merely seen as a failure - directly insulting him to his face is still out of bounds. The spoiled rotten children in school are one thing - a professional ADULT Knight is another.

His position is untouchable as it was described early on in the series - all hostilities should be passive aggressive, not this direct insult crap. In additon, beyond peerage, adults getting into a petty squabble and dick measuring contest with a child is just plain ridiculous - let alone professional servant protectors of the nobility, Knight, the lowest of all nobility ( even if only Nobles can become royal knights, its barely above regular knights in service of regular nobles and cannot compare to landed nobles and clearly a position for exceptional second, third, fourth etc. sons who work to become Knights because they cant inherit the fathers land and peerage)

@Ribath @Spoonikle I feel like it’s a mix of what you guys are saying. Slow still technically has the inheritance, but it’s well-known that his parents aren't really supporting him that much anymore, at least up until this point. Because of this, there is a justifiable excuse as to why this royal knight could get away with directly insulting Slow, but with Slow being in front of the freaking princess it still sounds like a pretty stupid idea, especially since with his reasons (Slow potentially ruining the chance at kidnapping the princess and Slow being competition for the knight thing that’s going to happen soon), it would have made much more sense to just insult him privately, where his gripes are far less obvious to the others and it wouldn’t have a chance at offending the princess, if he had to insult Slow at all (his resentment makes sense though)

@GrimThoughts It makes even more sense to insult him in front of the princess. Slow used to be engaged to her and now isn't. Considering his social standing (the son of a duke, I believe), them breaking off their engagement must either mean there were political reasons behind or just a really complicated personal story. Either way, with that in mind, the knight not knowing the details of what unfolded on the academy and the way the princess adresses Slow when she asks him to come into the room(pretty aggressively), the knight would think that insulting him on front of her would actually be winning her favor if anything.
Again, I don't recall the details.

no update for this manga , raw manga for this manga in Lhscan has reached chapter 19

Alicia is being extremely bossy and pushy. Seems she still has some lingering feelings towards Piggy Slow and that makes her think she's entitled to control/cockblock him...
She's starting to get on my nerves

I know this is an old chapter but I've been reading thus far out of curiosity and my main issue with this story is the MC's obsession with Charlotte, yes she was the original Slow's crush and main love interest, but why does the MC who was downloaded into Slow feel the same way? His knowledge of her is from the anime although it seems Slow's knowledge was downloaded into him as well, but that's not the same as feelings for a person. He just knows Slow loved Charlotte. From the beginning when he made his main goal to remain with Charlotte, I felt that was weird. I could see if he was playing the part, but he thoroughly means it whenever he says it, but in reality he shouldn't have any deep rooted feelings for anyone until he starts to build those feelings by spending time with these people in this world.

@Elroy79 Yeah i agree, there really is no reason for him to be as devoted to Charlotte or even half as devoted to Charlotte as the og Slow was.
And honestly, i think it kinda fuck up the dynamic of who will he go or or what choices will he make, it`s kind of like all those harem anime where the one true girl is all but told to you directly at the start.
Even worse when main girl has the least personality of all other heroines, can't exactly say the same for Charlotte but at the same time she has not been much more than a Mcguffin to sacrifice for so far.
Hell, personally i even like the Tsundere princess more so far.

@GrizzlyMelon, Agree. I also agree he's building a relationship with the princess rather than Charlotte. His relationship with Charlotte has been a "just so/for granted/already existed just because" sort of thing.
