nah man, I fully respect Denji, not entirely his fault. srsly I thought Makima only joking and throwing a birthday party to him (hence the cake). but turn out that's the bait, and Makima isn't the type of joking either

page 9 has "Fallen Lucifer" painting in background maybe a metaphor how Denji has fallen and lost all his faith in himself.
