@greyhud90 I think its because male demography became less tolerant to bitch behavior. Miss asshat here is mild compared with last decade tsunderes. For example she was just verbally abusive while previous tsunderes were also physically and psychologically abusive too.

Also previous tsunderes had her back story revealed almost at the end of the season instead of when they are introduced like just happened now.

Take Taiga from Toradora, or Asuka from NGE, or Louise from Zero Tsukaima, or Chitoge from Nisekoi. All of them had the communication skills of a rabid pig.

I'd honestly say Taiga does not belong In the company of Chitoge, Louise and Asuka. She mellows out quicker, has a lot more self insight and realizes early how much she depends on the emotional support of Ryuuji. She's also VERY torn about the jealousy she's feeling towards Minori despite her pact with Ryuuji to help each other with their respective crushes.

She's true to herself, aware of her flaws and does not bother to fake her personality like Chitoge, Louise (Asuka to a lesser degree) and other bad tsunderes do.

I'll be honest about my bias as Toradora was a favourite of 10 years ago, but I still rank her with some of the best written tsundere characters like Rin (FS/N)

It's a bit insulting, as a child prodigy who has basically thrown their life away to study and train to reach the power level they have, to have to train someone who not just reeks of mother's milk but flips the process on it's head and needs to become weaker.

On top of that, there's a very good chance the brat could hurt their hero in the near future.

All in all, I think her prickly demeanor is not unusual and she'll join the flufffest eventually.
