Tbh I hardly understand the difference of sage and mage when spoken in RPG contexts.

@Nep: AFAIK sages aren't necessarily capable of using the same kind(s) of magic that actual mages and other actual spellcaster classes (e.g. priests and their divine magic) can do, if they can even use magic. My conception of a sage is a superintelligent person who deals with books and other written lore, able to decipher and store huge amounts of knowledge far better than anyone else. They're basically walking, living encyclopedias, with the likely possibility of having access to secret lore that could possibly be of magical nature; if they can cast magic, it's either because of dabbling in a spellcaster class on the side, or because the knowledge they amassed includes some spells that only require at most a spoken incantation and some commonly found catalysts (i.e. anyone can theoretically do it, it's just incredibly hard to know how to do it).

Thanks for the chapter!
That spiral ability is an important clue later on. As for the chimaera wolf that was definitely manufactured by somebody. Granted variants or elites do pop up among monsters but their base is still the same while a chimaera is a combination of several monsters. Main clue is that it's a prototype which is a term used in manufacturing so somebody definitely made it and either set it loose to cause trouble and get some data or were too careless confining it. Likely a bit of both.

@Quickshot76 LN explains better but stats can't go below zero without the debuff from a cursed item. Or in MC's case a reversed item's buffs. So no matter how high her level gets without a reversed item buff she'll stay at zero. Although might be right in leveling up decreasing the increase she gets from cursed items unless author forgets to take that into consideration or deliberately leaves it out. Then again if her experience is inverted she might never level up as it'll be changed to negative experience and forever be stuck at zero no matter what she kills.
