Driver_A exit Car_A and take out Engine_A, only to place it in Car_B, so the Driver_B get an increased engine output, for his Car_B. Driver_A now holding a crowbar in one hand waves with his other hand, as Driver_B drives away, while Car_A is in peases.

Basically, whilst with the power to reshape society (and Justice) to fairer and more equitable, the MC should have done so being ignorant of who he might be in his reincarnation. If a high proportion of your population are pitiful commoners or mistreated slaves... your chances of reincarnating into such an unfortunate position increases. So you try to make your chances in the next life better by making conditions better overall, so that a bad draw is less likely.

When he explained the magic he stated that the spell separates the souls and memories, so basically he just lost all memories and experience and sent them to someone else.
so the kids may not have the same souls as the eldest prince, just his memories
