I have to say, the ending felt very abrupt. Everything was suddenly quickly wrapped up in, like, the final two chapters. I wonder if the author always planned for it to end like this.

This comic would have done better to segue into several slice-of-life chapters before closing, instead of just wrapping things up quickly. Indeed, properly handled it could have become an occasional series, updated as the creator had time and ideas, with no definite ending.
