Dungeon Meshi - Vol. 11 Ch. 71.1 - Daydream Hour 4

Still some of the best worldbuilding in manga.

What have we learned today?

- The Thorden siblings are both thicc
- Namari is bisexual and has a very specific kink
- the twins don't seem to mind indulging her (threesome when?)
- Kuro isn't some kind of advanced pet but a fully-sentient slave, and Mickbell knows it

You were beaten to it earlier in the comments.

I can't help but hope if Pixar or some other large monster studio ever picks up an IP for an animated television series that its Meshi. Just look at those designs on p.10. So emphatic and full of unique life.

Man, page 12 is awesome, also Laios and Falin are cute in their monster costumes.

Edit: also wtf is p22 lol

@NODZZ
P22 is abuse is what it is. That character who treats the Kobold in the party like her dog and refers to herself as "his owner" piss me off.

i really do like how ryoko kui draws, you can really recognise people are different ethnicities and it's not accentuated or caricatured
ASDFAJS 018 "you want to see us wear leg pouches namari"
i also do not like mickbell...

Is there a Japanese word for an old-fashioned thing like "apothecary"? Or was it written in kana?

I love these extra chapters. Kui Ryoko's characters are so full of life.

And yikes, is poor Kuro a victim of demi-human trafficking?? Mickbell calling himself Kuro's owner and insistent on isolating him from their other companions raises a lot of red flags.

@adt141 There's a few from what I can see. 薬種屋, yakushuya. 薬種商, yakushushou. 薬屋, kusuriya.
Yakushushou being the only one my dictionary isn't listing as also holding a more modern pharmacist or store related meanings as well, so it's probably the one that'd be used to lean into the old fashioned term.

Page 7: Damn sometimes I forget Senshi is ridiculously handsome by Dwarf standards
Page 10: OcO

That "Kariyushi" design bears a striking resemblance to Norwegian rosemaling
