Why is thistle male in the fan translation and female in the official translation? Is this a case of people not being able to let go of their wishful thinking with the scanlation or was the gender ever confirmed somewhere?

@KimKowabunga The last page of this chapter indicates Thistle is confirmed male. If the official English volume releases call Thistle female, the best guess I can make is they took a stab at assuming without much information to go off of and got unlucky. Japanese is a language that makes it much easier to go about referring to someone without specifying information like gender, so it's not uncommon for this kind of thing to just never be brought up. You'd think the official English licensed version might have access to like, information the author has but hasn't ever publicly indicated, but that is sometimes too much to hope for.

laios forgot that talk-no-jutsu only works in some kiddy , shounen , un-realistic manga-s , like narutard , none piece / one piece of fece , promised neverland ..... with maru sue and gary stu characters .

below , the main girl of promised neverland uses talk-no-jutsu to kill the villain . she spams talk-no-jutsu until the villain kills himself by cutting his own throat . i had to censor her ugly face and nonsense talk-no-jutsu :
