Hachinan tte, Sore wa Nai Deshou! - Vol. 8 Ch. 43

Almost time to kill his brother and turn his wife into his side ho?

I just noticed that the Tudor-style frame walls of the buildings also seem to be made of stone or masonry blocks. That doesn't make sense, I think.

The timber frame construction is supposed to be filled in with wattle-and-daub. That is, mud supported by woven sticks, and then covered in a layer of plaster. Having stacked blocks, interrupted with the curved timbers, would be a waste of masonry skills.

Too many "b" names, plus at least two people are attached to this one I think. Or he's got a brother that's friendly?

This thing needs a character-relationship chart/web like... I think it was Saiyuki Reload? I think at least one of the DVDs had one as case insert/slip.

No thoughts on the chapter but, I feel like I admire how the metal looks in color for this art style.

For a story with political intrigue, it's not very complex yet to need one IMO
You only need to mind Baumeister's party members, including the 2 veterans. Heck, one of them is barely there, and the other one is basically a quest-giver.
All the other characters are just there to drive the plot forward in a convincing way.

@jonsmth I am aware it is hardly the most complicated intrigue around, doesn't help my shoddy recall any.

"there to drive the plot forward"

Yes, and because I am trying to keep track of that plot beyond who's getting in the MC's pants and why, as well as keep it distinct from the dozen other intermittent updating aristocrat intrigue arcs/manga I'm also reading, it would be nice to have a reference document. Alternatively I can also reread 10+ chapters.

Edit: @jonsmth sorry for being bitchy, it's been a rough day and it's only just started. Sorry for taking it out on you.

Unless you're some xianxia protag there's nothing you can do about people having their own ideas and plotting stuff.

Ha, did they stick an obvious spoiler on that color page with the novel covers? It's not much of one, granted. Married people tend to have kids and he's marrying a bunch of girls sooner or later, but still. Seems like angry email bait, it's not like everyone reading this in Japan has read the novels first either.
