If anything, this is just going to aggravate Kurt, and that guy who's proposing all this is intentionally trying to make them fight. He's way too shady to not be scheming
@Necrokora My first thought as well. Normally I'd say an MC wouldn't let such an item to be stolen easily, but this MC isn't the brightest bulb in the lamp shop.
@Necrokora : It was explained in the early chapter- Unless they're magic users (and probably need to be on Wend or his master's level), they can't use the bag so even if they steal it, eh.

@Pwarghle indeed, if he gain any favor from the citizen, Kurt will become less popular, because even though he is the youngest, the citizen still see him as a lord son.
@Necrokora something's definitely going to happen to it. The author/artist drew way too much attention to it for it not to have a role.
@WhimsiCat just because they can't use it doesn't mean they have no reason to steal it. They're goal could just be to cause problems for the MC. Basically political gains rather than material gains.
@ProfStryker : Yes, pick a fight with a guy on official request by a noble who's basically your boss's boss.
Oh and he's also got the achievements of taking down multiple dragons.
AND he's gaining favors of other villagers by opening the bazaar
Even if they succeed it making him stop, do you think those other villagers will be happy or angry with them for causing such problem?
That's why I ended with 'eh', any problem they might cause is laughably negligible given the power and influence Wend wields.
MC: "Hey see all those goods? Yeah I pulled them out of this magic sack I have loosely tied to my side."
Like look I get it he has a lock on it but if it's stolen he doesn't have the stuff either which is still a massive loss for him. I mean boy howdy does he have a lot of stuff in there after all.
@Mapax
It depends on how many of those are able bodied adults vs. how many are children.
If there's 25 couples and they each have 2 children.....well you just went from 50 people to 100 people yet your number of adults haven't changed.
A crude example but just showing that there can be logic behind it.
