@AMicrowave maybe the translator(s) of LH didn't read the discription.
They also translate the name of Wels brother as "Helman", but I think it should be Herman. I mean almost every name is so german.
Especially the name of his family "Baumeister".

now that a new chapter is out I'm reading this again and I still don't understand one major problem - vendelin is now the head of a different house, higher in rank too iirc, and while it would technically be possible for him to inherit the old house (not sure if that's the case in this fantasy setting) it just won't happen. I've mentioned it before, but why would he ever be seen as an obstacle for his elder brother's inheritance? Am I missing something?
