Have we ever been introduced to Wels mother?
I don’t recall him talking of her or to her. It’s never stated she’s dead, its like she’s a non-entity which is weird.
If she’s the fathers main wife that would imply she’s Klaus daughter making him Wels grandfather, but that too seems glossed over. Can’t really follow all this without that one bit of context haha
So I looked online, his mother’s name is Johanna Baumeister status alive. That’s all the information on her lol, literally a non entity

Obviously, it's not the worst translation in the world, and it'd be hard to even call it bad, but it's also obvious that there's a lot of subtext missing from a number of lines, especially in those cases where the follow up makes no sense in the context given. However, I can't say I've come to expect a whole lot from this particular translation group over the years.

She's the mother of 2 kids who she had with the elder brother, so when MC does what he does to the elder brother she marries Wendel to give them a good future.
After that, some people says she really starts to fall in love with MC and she becomes best girl in the harem, personally dunno.

I mean, with how his family has acted until this point I am surprised the others didn't consider the same conclusion as Klaus sooner upon hearing the story about his son.
The naivete, or stupidity, of this group is starting to get pretty impressive. The only way I could see them not doing so is that he is a relatively new character that none of them are particularly close or familiar with and that he may be trying to use them. I do understand that side of the argument.
However, I really dislike it when a character in a story is written to give people the "benefit of the doubt" despite there be obvious and serious character flaws in the suspected individual. Especially when the mc, or at least the main cast, is portrayed as calculating or intelligent (at least for the most part). Personally, I think it is a pathetic cop-out from authors. Despite what the totality of circumstances should have made obvious to the characters in their story, they still want to make the mc a cliched shounen "I will always believe in the best of people" type character either due to lack of writing or not having the sack to break from the norm.
This is how you write predictable and generic 6/10 to maaaaaybe 8/10 manga, not the 9/10+ that many love like Solo Leveling, HunterxHunter, One Piece, Marimashta Iruma-Kun (check it out), the Slime isekai, Berserk and others. Yes I know there are others worthy of that list and some maybe over-hyped. I just listed off a few from the top of my head that are for the most part of the same genre, or close.

I think Wendelin's father ends up explaining his end of the issue and it turns out that there was some plot with the fiance and the headman's son that ends up in a fight (with some other people), and then politics with the other headmen result in Wend's father faking their deaths by cliff and asking to marry the daughter to protect her.
But who knows if Wend's father is lying or is just misunderstanding something?
There never is clear evidence one way or another in the novel and the question goes unanswered.

The idea is that nobles need to be able to produce an heir, and thus need to be experienced sexually. This is particularly notable, as for more important nobles, the wedding night will be observed by a maid or servant to ensure the wedding is properly consummated. The role of sex-teacher is typically given to a woman who is a widow, due to their experience but also because they would not be seen as having an extramarital affair. Lucky for her though, instead of going through just the usual process of that, Wendelin actually treated her so nicely she eventually became one of his mistresses.
