That girl is so pure. Really, ignorant is a bliss. As an 2D artist I can relate to this, it can be depressing when looking at works that a whole different level than you, knowing the theory behind the technical stuff and whatsoever but still can't "replicate" the said works.

If she has no creativity, so what? Plenty of authors lack creativity, "high literature" is not the only type of literature. If she enjoys writing she can become "a pro" in the craft, even without creativity, writing exactly what she wants to write and the readers want to read. It's another sort of talent, creativity alone takes you nowhere with letters.

On one hand, plausibly she could write stuff that would sell well because there's a lot of real crap that sells well--as @Deoxyribo9 and @NZPIEFACE point out. And I did actually try to read 50 Shades, because I like SM and potentially could have been very happy with an SM romance (Nana to Kaoru, for instance, is really good). Oh my god it was such crap.
But I also agree with @Panino -- there's actually some really good stuff that isn't at all original. Morinaga Milk is one of my all time favourite mangaka and her stuff doesn't have a trace of originality, but her craftsmanship is so good and her stuff often has so much heart, that when she's at the top of her game she can bring a tear to my eye doing a scene I've seen a version of a thousand times. It's like when she does it I'm seeing it for the first time again, or remembering why this kind of plot line is popular in the first place. To be fair to Milk-sensei though, Hibiki said "This has no self-expression in it", which doesn't apply to Milk-sensei; her characters are always very much Morinaga Milk characters and her art can be very expressive. So I guess for something to be unoriginal and good, it still has to bring something of its own, something personal, like characters who are their own people or something.

It's because Hibiki's deal is "high literature", which deals a lot with "expression".
We can see that Kayo cares more about the entertainment factor of what she reads now. A story can be written pure for the entertainment of the reader, "self expression" is not always needed, not when the writer is just giving what the reader wants, not trying to say something.

@Panino: Well yeah, but there's a point where things designed for pure entertainment can become so empty that they're just boring as fuck. I want to say there's some kind of difference between things that are unoriginal and designed for entertainment, but good, and things which are unoriginal and just have nothing in them and suck even if there's reasonable technical proficiency going on. In shoujo I tend to call it "heart"--a sort of feeling like the mangaka gives a damn about the characters somehow and isn't just going through the motions. If you have heart, you can do all the cliches and the feelings will still be there; if you don't it'll just be tired and pointless. It's hard to define . . . I'm not necessarily talking about deep characterization here. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge is a comedy and the characters are thin like cardboard, defined by just a couple of dominant traits and a distinctive "look", and yet they're so damn alive and their personalities totally shape what happens, and they radiate panache. You can just tell the mangaka loves these people even if there's hardly anything to them and they're far from realistic. It's got heart, and it's brilliant.
(Conversely often high literature really has little going on beyond the pretentiousness and ends up being just as empty as bad entertainment stuff, but without even any action to distract you, and even though the characters may be complicated they may not seem like actual people or anything you'd want to give a damn about. No heart, and not as much head as they're trying to pretend either)

She is just asking the wrong person.
I mean if she want to be just a writer, she can publish her work on like syosetsu. And then gain a reader that way, and maybe along the way her work will gather enough attention.
But she is asking a pro writer, wich have more experience in literature than her.
She is really such a praise worthy character, she has been working hard, i mean she finish writing her novel where many people don't, like me lol.
