Anyone else feel like Myne is becoming too much of a connoisseur?

She is friends with a (future) noble lady, has a guaranteed secretary job in the military, has backing in the market and is becoming part of the church. I fear an Icarus complex, she always thinks of her ambition first and the people involved last. It's times like this when her mind is more childlike.

Her being that obsessed with books in the first place is sheltered thinking. I guess her Japanese life was rather comfortable to let that naivete sink that deep into her psyche. Granted, being moved into such a poor lifestyle out of no where probably made it worse.

She doesn't seem to be maturing very well and I feel that Lutz is gonna be left behind. Was shipping him with her, but seems like that isn't gonna work out if she goes into the temple.

Also not really liking how it got derailed from the simple yet extremely effective "spice and wolf" formula of being a merchant.

Now she wants to be a slave to the church. Great.

@bgi123 The story hasn't changed at all, staying true to its nametag "I'll do anything to become a librarian". So, Myne doesn't care less what she does, where she goes, etc... as long as there's "books" :v

Is she ever age in the novel like Rudeus Greyrat's story or is she stuck to the child body forever and ever?

@musicfreak12 Assuming the manga reaches Part 4 and 5, we'll see her older form (age 13-14-15). In Part 3, she's still the same age (7-8) with part 2, but the art style is different

Thanks For Your Hard Work!! <3 <3 <3 <3 Can't Wait For MOre!! <3 <3

Considering she needs money to not die and considering she needs knowledge to find the cure herself... i reeeaaallly think she ought to not waste her money on the church. Making her own enchantments would save a ton of money and would probably reveal she has far more magic then normal people. This may even be a "let the naturally strong mages die of this 'illness'" type of situation. less strong people to oppose them and keep magic in the handles of the nobles/land owners so the poor cant rise against them.

@jessiej She does not need money not to die. She Needs a Magic user and training or Access to a Magic Tool .. That Guy is the High Priest Likely the most Powerful Man in the City. If he gets to know her he will not let her die. Even if a Priest only has Symbolic power and no real power (and I kind of doubt that in a Medieval setting) And assuming he not like a Arch mage himself...He probably got a few hundred connections with dying old Nobles and could say"we both know your soul is damned but save this child and you WILL GET MY FULL BLESSING!". Not to mention that was a magic shield some one cast it..Ghee in a madic world what chances the church can cure DISEASE.. EVEN MAGIC DISEASE?? .Waste her money on the church? I would say it was a Very good investment Indeed...

well that was stupid offering a large gold coin right away but I'm enjoying it so far tho
