Ok let's say that since it seems reasonable but that doesnt give the reason as to why he believed the fake daughter and not the real one.Like he was there when she was born so why on earth did he believe the fake daughter

Ugh...I just keep on hating the father more and more. Sure he's getting some kind of redemption and it's even better since he's getting it as he's getting his past memories but still can't bring myself to like him
I'm sure tho that its only because this a story that I can hate him like this. In reality I would probably have thought more before deciding to hate him

I just really hope that even if she forgives him for his stupidness, it'll be because that way she can move on for herself or maybe for her brother because in the end even if she doesn't knows she is the real daughter, it's still a fact that she will have to inherit what is hers, but not dwell in fixing her relationship with him. Afterall he's only noticing things now because of that dream that hunts him and keeps tuanting him. Otherwise he would have foen the same.

Serves you right!People seem to forget that the reason the father has changed is because he also remembers parts of what happened to her in her previous life/ future although only vaguely and through dreams which he cannot fully place and the major catalyst that made him change so drastically ( Cosette ) has not appeared yet so of course he is different from the memories she has of him in the future where he is beginning to doubt whether or not she truly is his blood daughter. Also if you look at his design when he condemns her it looks like he has bags under his eyes as this is not easy for him either but since she is in his and the public's eyes a fake who tried to pretend to be a prophet (a very important person in this kingdoms society and heritage) she must be executed.

And to those that think the con artist would be a terrible boyfriend, it's quite difficult to be a scumbag when you're terrified of your incredibly powerful girlfriend snapping and doing unspeakable things to you. He'd be good... or at least try to run very very far away.

I feel so bitter and sad whenever scenes with the father come up. I tear up whenever you see the realisation on his face but I don’t feel sorry for him at all.
