@wouw He can't like humans, neither can the duke. Humans are also supposed to feel discomfort in their company. Estelle should be more or less the only other person whose company they can enjoy and who doesn't mind them at all. Id say it's perfectly natural for him to be a bit of a siscon. I'd be more worried about Emiel, who emits some unhealthy vibes.
