Emiel is only 7 years older than Estelle, it's just the author make her looks so small. And Estelle will grow into a teenager soon so bear with it just for awhile. Starting from chapter 7x Estelle and Emiel will look similar in age

I prefer older ML anyway lol

@mmerijn alright, yes. So basically you want us all to suffer through another few chapters on how terrible traumatic experience that was and force us to swallow this condensed depression pill.
I don't think it means the end, the next time she sees a magician the trauma may probably resurface.
Also I don't think it's "the next day" since she came back and everywhere is snowing. Then you see her struggling even walking forward and then you have full spring and probably summer comes close with all the green grass and flowers in full bloom when she stabs herself with a thorn and thinks to jump at the evening. You just weren't told how much time passed, you have to observe and guess it yourself.

I'm partly agreeing that they could have explored the whole trauma thing more. Lots of development potential for main and side characters using it as a medium.
But I'm also part glad that they rushed it the way it is since, well, I just want the whole story to get moving since it's painfully obvious she'll just recover on her own.

Also I'm surprised the father hasn't started a nation wide witch mage hunt out of pure emotional rage yet. Being too composed is sometimes boring.

Emiel is only 7 years older than estelle, right ? Don't tell me this age gap disgust you, or i will be mad, especially when i have friends with the same age gap or even 10y old.
The romance don't happen before the timeskip anyway, when she will be 16 or 17 y old, so you should not have problem with that, she will not be small anymore (because she didn't eat enough when she lived with her mother)
and will look like a pretty girl.

Sigh..;Anwyay, good chapter, can't wait to see what happen after.

@ArpanaR When I was a teenager I was exactly as you are saying, couldn't cry no matter what.
Maybe it was pride, or maybe I was just cold, I'm not sure myself
After that time passed and I experienced a lot of things, both good and bad, and I myself tried to change that part of me.
The result was now a days I end up crying for anything XD
it's like all those years holding back made today's tears overflow ;p

True as that may be she went normal too fast, I think the story would have stagnated if we kept watching Estelle trying to hurt herself repeatedly so I think the recovery is just to move the story along rather than anything else
