Why do dozens if not hundreds of these stories follow the exact same plot.. worse than isekai stories, at least they try to be unique, while ones like these don't even fking try....

@sunsetchaos As someone that's read quite a number of these, yeah, they all share similar plots. The general formula is:
Villainess daughter either doesn't act like one because of being Japanese, or they weren't much of one to begin with, or the harassments is legit criticism because noble society is a bitch.
Prince breaks the engagement and optionally banishes villainess
Villainess is revealed to be quite liked by people generally and is actually very competent at her work
Villainess does their specialty and gets really famous
Prince and/or family gets wind, realize that she has tons of merit and tries to get her back
Villainess already has someone much better lined up
Prince and thot get disowned because villainess crimes are revealed to be made up charges (optionally prince begs villainess to take him back so he won't lose his status)
Villainess settles with new love interest and gets a happy end. Heroine(actually a thot) will be revealed to be a slut that's sleeping with the prince's aids, or stupidly incompetent and get sent to the monastery, executed, or sold to slavery.

But speaking honestly, I actively seek out these stories because its become something of a comfort zone for me. I get a lot of enjoyment out of watching the prince and thot get owned with the prince begging to be taken back the cherry on top if the story uses that.
