@ZeeTee He definitely should've done something like that on top of crippling the fucker for life if not outright killing him for a double whammy. There is a chance that this guy can escape him before he dishes out proper punishment, or that he can get away scott free by bribing the courts, so they can both serve as insurance to each other.
