@HajimeteNHK They said Takae died 10 years before. That kid is probably 6 or 7 years old. Yurika also said it had been a long time since they have seen each other. So, it's possible that after Takae died, he didn't keep in touch with her family, especially if being around them made him more depressed. So it's very possible he has never met the kid before, or wouldn't remember his name. I am not sure that would be odd in real life, in any culture.
