Although some may consider these 'revelations' are very minor or totally insignificant, in Japanese society it is very important especially for teachers to be 'seen' as the 'example' and 'role model' so anything that goes against this picture can have a detrimental effect in someone's career... Also in general in Japan is all about appearances, things have to 'look' normal and everyone fitting in the society so any 'different' behavior again doesn't matter legal or not, is frowned upon and has consequences not only to the person but to their entire family!

Youre preaching to the choir here, this is too comical(not to japan maybe) and I feel like the author is taking the piss. I know dropping the series is an easier way out but I'm gonna see where this abyss goes. I guess I can just read and just laugh it off offline. Thanks for working on this though.

Nah even considering cultural differences (and the wide sweeping generalization of japanese society as so completely image-based is mostly amplified by orientalism, as well as being a rather old stereotype, but that's another discussion), the cockroach thing is a major stretch. The author just realized there was only so many variations of "so-and-so are into some kinky stuff" he could come up with

Come on, my elder sister studying in biology major in college had to collect cockroaches (usually 10, alive) and put them in a bottle a few times. I am afraid of them and I hate them but lol.
