I mean, it isn't the worst plan in history. There are a lot of negative implications like her looking like someone trying to overthrow her brother but again, not the worst idea. Its a character she's well aware of (if it follows the media's history and at least according to the protagonists' (her brother and his lover) POV of said media that the antagonist's motivation have no relation to his sex drive, then she might have a chance of nabbing someone straight but since then again, the original plot is a BL otome game and in which case, she has better chances with the younger Burn brother who owes her for not getting punished)

Noble society veers heavily towards homosexuality, since they have other means to ensure heirs. It is less prevalent with commoners though. There's a POV chapter from the commoner guards who say the got a shock upon finding out heterosexuals like them were the minority in the capital.
The 3 children all have different mothers. The king is also homosexual, and has a male consort who's effectively his "queen". The eldest never knew his mother, since she passed away long ago. The MC's mother is the king's sister, and was raised separately since birth. The youngest's mother was a marquis's daughter who used scandalous means to make the king impregnate her - she was punished by being confined to territory arrest, and had to give up all rights to the youngest. The MC and younger brother are close since she's something like a mother figure to him.

Apparently the king doesn't favour the 2nd prince due to his birth situation, so word is the MC is more likely next in line for the throne if something were to happen to the 1st prince.

I've got a quick question for those who have read ahead. Give me spoilers please! 
So looking at the chapter 4 raw, at the end the guard uses magic to put a seal on her hand. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. So could someone explain if he's actually a good guy or a bad guy because his expression at the end looked rather evil. XD
