In Another World, I'm Called: the Black Healer - Vol. 6 Ch. 39

had me going there for a sec. was like "But she has the pendant, did you forget about that, Mr author?"

They didn't do a good job establishing any reason to care about Liliam except that his circumstances are similar to Renee's.

@Epicredeemer
Same here.

I thought: "Didn't she make that pendant specifically to counter that priest's corruption? And didn't the Demon Lord make an even more powerful version of that pendant when he broke the previous one?"
Glad to see it worked.

@IronClad They did an excellent job of describing why they should save him. He's been a slave for over 200 years, and he is going to die soon anyway. Gaia just wants Liliam to live the rest of his life free from the corruption and at least experience what it is to be alive. If you go, but why go through all this trouble, he's going to die soon anyway, that's precisely why they should save him, he has never known freedom or life. If you see and know someone in an extremely abusive household and unable to even bring themselves to enjoy life, would you not extend a hand out? What if you knew that person was going to die soon regardless of their circumstances and you had the means to at least allow them to experience life?

The story started pretty well and interesting, but it's already reached the climax with the strange and kind of disappointing demon king arc (with the illogical romance, if you can even call it that). I wonder how much further and in which direction the author plans to take this.

Quite a nice plan, I have to say. The head priest had been successful for so long that he wasn't anymore capable of imagining others defeating him in his own game.
