Isekai Kenja no Tensei Musou ~Geemu no Chishiki de Isekai Saikyou~ - Vol. 1 Ch. 4 - The opponent was a horde

@Lecarm true, for the mouse part, I actually wasn't sure if the translation was not off and it was meant to apologize for the wolf-quest earlier xD

And yes, in his case I don't think he is really that OP compared to others going with that 'OP but Braindead' setting. But from what I've seen he seems actually around B~C, since he beat down C Rank wolf 'packs' and 'army' of mice completely solo.

From what you said, it seems more like they made him 'OP' in the manga. Taking down the strongest(?) Guild-guy, Labeling all books as "basic" and no difficulty completing any of those quests.

I might have to read the novel instead, if it's actually good and has more stuff translated.

@bakauguu No, all of those also happen in the novel, they just explain his worries better. The game had a ranking system as well it seems, so in his mind C rank in this world is F rank for his standards and he hasn't quite processed that. Novice's stats are so bad that he will consider himself weak until he changes jobs. How big is the power difference between Novice and an actual job? Well, very significant actually. A level 30 Novice would do virtually no damage on a level 20 enemy while a level 15 Hero would demolish it in 5 minutes. His job of choice is Sage as per the title of the manga, and that job is well...
Really fucking dumb how op it is...

@Gravewind I just updated that error and a couple more that someone pointed out. Sorry about that inconvenience, the uploader didn't let me QC the chapter before publishing :/.

first i thought i give this 10 chapters until mc stops behaving like a dense motherfucker but its getting hard to read.....must ....be....patient

@ShinSekai: There is no need to be patient, as if its similar to the WN (atleast until the part which have been translated), then MC would remain dense like this for a really long time.

I can kill 32 C rank monsters in 2 hours, i must an E rank *facepalm*. The author must be as dumb as MC to think it's even comic.

I think the MC is dense not because he himself is dense but I think it's credited towards tons of conflicting information that he has.

@icam98
I wanted to think that too but in chapter 2 he said that the world is similar to BBO but it isn't the same. Even when the facts are right in front of him he chooses to ignore them, so he is either dense or very stupid. But I find it hard to believe that someone who could be a top ranking player in a mmo could be either. Well unless he had someone holding his hand the entire time.

Uff.. Sorry give me a moment to climb out of one of these plot holes.
3 million for a ferry ticket which takes 3 hours? Is this a joke?
I know that finances often lack in fantasy mangas and rarely add up, but what the hell did the author smoke when coming up with the value currency and prices and commen sense of the MC?

is the mc gonna finally realize he's actually overpowered or will he continue being dense....

@ISafetyI most Isekai manga has the MC think they're too weak at the beginning until it properly gets put through their skulls that they're actually OP af

I hope his ignorance doesn't carry on the entire time. It's funny for a couple chapter but most authors fall into a hole and just make that the premise.

@Morose Thanks for your information, let's see some of it before dropping. I still think i can forgive it at some point

@Toykio
And don't forget that it was available to depart 30 minutes later! He was either lucky with his timing, or there are multiple boats going around which would allow for a trip to be available every few hour or so. Each boat must be making one round trip per day. (6 hours more or less for the round trip, and then time to offload and charge the cargo) If that is the case, they should already be making a profit on the goods being transported, so why are they charging this exorbitant amount for some extra passengers which they will not even feed nor lodge for any amount of time? Then there is the incredibly small distance implied by the time duration of the trip. He still had no choice but to use the ferry since there was no land route to the capital but if it's going to cost that much I can't help but feel that building a raft would be better, or just buying a small boat.

Maybe sea monsters require highly ranked adventurers as crew to protect the ship and this justifies a high cost? But still, the cost of having a passenger does not seem to be great so they are really price gouging and perhaps it is for another reason like preventing too many from actually going to the capital, especially poor people? That really puts all people on the other continent at a massive disadvantage compared to anyone that can reach the capital by land.

Also why is someone brewing a potion on the deck of the ship? (I mean, actually, it makes sense; that ship likely has no passenger cabins since it's only a 3 hour trip, so all extra passengers spend the trip on the deck. It would also be pretty boring to do nothing except watch the waves for 3 hours. It still looks ridiculous though.)

I wish these authors would make consequences of the MCs being so stupid... like, let them watch innocent people die because of their over underestimation of their own strength.

A little bit is fine... and maybe sometimes it being random is fine (like some dude looks strong so he thinks he's weaker)... but to make it consistent and so extreme??
