Isekai Majutsushi wa Mahou o Tonaenai - Vol. 1 Ch. 5

Meh this is the ty pe of dude you cute his eyes ball out ears off and tongue out as well as cut off his arms and legs and throw him in a cell to be a blind deaf muted nub the rest of his life

So this guy is basically a D&D 3.5 wizard with a HUUUUUGE hard on for the Book of Vile Darkness and its spells...

She becoming harem girl #2 after getting lobotomized makes more sense than all the other isekais where the girl falls for the MC just because he told her she was cute.

Ok being an evil bastard but performing brain surgery while conscious and not even sedated was straight up trash.

It was completely gratuitous and pointless. And no, author, there is no "come to think of it". That is like forgetting to open the door when you want to enter your car. It's something literally impossible to forget, especially with all the screaming and thrashing around.

@Espadas This whole manga is completely gratuitous. That's basically its main selling point, in that it is fully unashamed about what a complete piece of shit its MC is. It doesn't justify it with a tragic backstory or any other extenuating circumstances, and it doesn't hypocritically hold back in some regards either to make it seem like he's not fully evil by some twisted standards.

It's just a balls to the wall chaotic evil MC placed in a world fully unprepared to deal with something like him, and that's basically the whole point of the manga, so if you don't like that you might as well fuck off now.

@twinklecake he's not chaotic though. There is a lot of thought put into his actions. I'd even say he is lawful neutral in a way. He is a wizard/scholar so he does a lot of stuff for academic reasons. The novel does a better job explaining this. Doesn't make him not a piece of shit but it also paints a better picture of how he isn't evil but just academically twisted.

@twinklecake If i had a problem with the MC being unashamedly evil i wouldn't even be reading this in the first place.

But there is a difference between "no holding back/unashamed" and "literally gratuitous".

Everything he has done up until now clearly shows he is an amoral bastard but IT BENEFITTED HIM in some way or another.
Be it getting informations, getting laid, getting money for liquor, getting a spy.....he got something out of his evil deeds.

This? This was literally DETRIMENTAL to him, since brain surgery becomes a lot more difficult if the subject is thrashing and screaming compared to unconscious.

Doing something whose only effect is to make things worse for you is straight up stupid, and goes against his characterization of "twisted genius".

Some of the comments in the previous chapters hit it on the mark -- this sort of horrible treatment to people, is a lot better for a villainous protagonist.
I'd rather see a grand villain brain-fucking people, extract their brain, and torture them for his own personal schemes -- than do petty shit like fuck a helpless woman in an alley. I never thought that the measure of "pettiness" of a villain's usage of their powers and desire, would actually matter that much.

@Espadas
Yep, I can agree with that. It didn't bother me as much as the "rape scene", but I can totally agree with your POV.

i'm gonna drop this, i'm ok with "evil" MC's but i want some actual reason for the evil and this dude is just evil for the sake of being evil, raping, torturing and killing for fun. it's just the authors torture porn.

This is 100% fetish wish fulfillment on the authors part, kind of surprised they went with the official manga route and not the standard hentai manga.
