Here the main problem is that, faced with a woman who doesn’t think for herself / doesn’t put herself first, all her previous stories are “twisted” because no one really cared about her as Mc is now doing.

While it's certainly an interesting tact to have her just...never really caring about her own wants because she sees how giving in to others makes them happy and that in turn makes her satisfied, I'm not sure where the author is going with this. It certainly makes the MC seem like a decent guy because he realized a relationship built on one person's wants is never gonna work. So getting her to think about herself shows he actually cares about her beyond things others wanted from her.

He's not really a strange guy, he's just strange to her cause no one really cared about her before, not really. It's outside of her experiences.

Seems like her previous boyfriends (if you can call them that) were alphas who just wanted to fuck her and then go look for new girls. Theoretically there could have been one who didn't like her personality and broke up because of that, but since they are just school kids, how much dating experience could she have had anyway? Simply not enough time. This guy might be a bit of a beta, but if you look at his actions in these few chapters, he's getting things done. He has even decided to help her build a more solid personality. In the first place, he's the one who confessed with no outside help whatsoever and got the girl he had fallen for, so he never was a fully hopeless beta. Unless he loses her to some other dude.
