@Werebearguy not really. he(octopus) has made it his personal mission to support jagaaan. if he consumed that fat president, he would've had to take over his role in society. and in case he just killed him, the info of the president going missing after leaving with a female at the party would've made big rounds, probably hindering jagaaan's team's mission if investigated.
the best choice to support the big mission was to let him live and extract the critical data, which he fulfilled perfectly.
