Jiisama ga Iku - Vol. 1 Ch. 4.1 - BONUS CHAPTER OLD MAN IS ABSENT

Are you really telling me that an entire village has changed its mind about Chloe just because it made it taste like udon?
And the story of the pride of the elves?
Pride disappeared just because they discovered udon?
I can't help but find this story ridiculous, an elf certainly wouldn't have accepted such a thing.
It seems that the author added this because he didn't know what to invent. 😅

"Big brother, I just found this type of cheap, imperishable grain chock full of carbs that can make things like bread, pasta and cake so that we can give everyone heart disease, diabetes, and fatty liver syndrome. We'll see those fuckers try to mess with me while their waistbands triple in size."

The industrialization of whole grain was the worst thing to happen to the human race next to the black plague (and the discovery of refined sugar obviously. But sugar and pasta are really pretty similar). Now this girl is doing it to this world as fast as possible.

@Aretheus
That's when they start isekaing over here to get even more awesome fries food and getting stuck on this side because their body size is different making them seek help from a specific japanese personal trainer.

Eh? Udon? Normally that tube thing is used with Somen, called Nagashi(flowing) Somen. Those noodles don't look thick enough to be udon.

@Ifrittuccia I think they were all just holding onto something they didn't believe in anymore. It was already over for the oldschool type of Elven pride, atleast in this village. They just needed one final push.

it was really jarring to go from sasuro being an absolute cockweasel piece of shit, to suddenly being a-okay with everything.

gave me whiplash.

out of all things to make with wheat she made noodles, the old man has corrupted her with his japanese ways

So Sasuro was just a whiny bitch for almost no reason.
Village had no attractions other than festival and it probably wasn't too different to other village festivals

@Aretheus You know modern wheat was first hybridized in Ancient Roman times and the obesity epidemic is due to corn syrup and hydrogenated vegetable oil right? Wheat doesn't even have great yields per acre. Corn is the real evil.

I'm just happy to see that people recognize that carbohydrates can have major consequences to one's health.
