Jikkyou!! Izumi-kun no Koi Moyou - Vol. 2 Ch. 13 - Izumi's Complete Upending

This chapter is exactly why this kind of series would get cancelled.
The number of people who like unrequited love/cuckolding stories is small.
MC will support female MC, she'll get rejected/friendzoned, MC ends up being her fallback man.
He didn't even try. Guess that's the limit of his new found 'love'.

Disappointing. He deserves to lose her.
Let this be a real life lesson to any guys reading this story. If you suppress your feelings like this to 'support' some other guy's courting, that's all you'll ever be.

@Scynix true that.

These types of "romance" cant event call it that, there is no development in trash like this, MC keeps being on the loser that he is... being the commentator for others people relationship LOL. So satisfied when I found it shit got canned.

Is this still on-going? If not, just because he's lost Shinohara right now, doesn't mean he won't get the chance later unless the author is trying to be edgy and ending it with heartbreak.

@kronix - I've noticed that people like you who obsess over this kind of stuff usually are projecting. Did you get cucked at some point in your life? Are you raising your wife's boyfriend's kids now?

@jak when I see anything with tag romance I expect to see character development and relationship developments. This manga has neither, if the manga had continue it would have probably ended up with MC being sad loner until the last chapter because he is a coward BETA SELF CUCK MC. If you don't improve the character, the relationships then there is nothing to talk about.

All he is, and will remain being is the observer, the commentator. If he is going to be a support character, then don't make him a fucking MC.

I'm more and more disapointed by people everytime I read the comments of this manga...

Anyway, let's not feeds the trolls.

And, well, the main character seems to be acceptiong pretty well the fact that the girl he love loves another one. I wonder if the author will keep up that until the end or if he the main character will break in tears at some point.

@UDie2day , @Siquall
everyone has seen this a million times before
of course they don't chop the guy off like that instantly, he gets put on a list and shit takes form with time
I guess I'm getting more cynical as I approach my 30s, I am assuming his fate based off many stories just like this one: Dude makes a manga, he bombs with something that upsets otaku in Nippon, every work axed, ostracized, put on a list, etc. Used to be for much less too, like the girl having an ex boyfriend.

@kronix

but the mangaka didn't put the tags there so you cant expect that to be fair

also shouting cuck constantly is p embarrassing

@Mako

Yeah, complaining about the betaness of a fictional character is the betanest thing one can do.

If you don't like the story/characters/artwork, then what are you doing here? Is not like the author is going to take notes or something.

You know, thinking about it again, I believe MC should've confessed. Falling back because of the existance of a rival wouldn't sit up well with me myself. I'd rather feel the heartbreak and grow over just storing those feelings somewhere. Would it make their relationship awkward? Yeap. But now he has other people that he can fall back to, like the nerds. Not in its entirety (he has family for that), but they'd at least still talk to him. He knows that he can't stand in the same spot as her friends anyways. Eventually time would make it less awkward if they ever wanted to be friends again.

Am I really the only one who thinks our MC is doing the right thing? Okay he could confess but it's just going to end up with a rejection and as a friend it only seems right to support her in her love.
He could give it a try, but unless a lot of time passes this parring just ain't meant to be.
I at least would really find it uncomfortable if my guy friends would suddenly try to hit on me hard after I told them I liked someone else. He would properly lose his friendship that way. It's sad, but it seems more preferable and he is slowly getting out of his shell, so had the series continue it seems likely he could had found someone else along the way.

But I suppose I properly have an unpopular opinion.

@ThaIssing I agree with you. At this point just going and confessing would not only end in a rejection but a break of a relationship. He knows she likes someone else and she trusts him enough to talk about it.
Still supporting your crush in her love is a really painful thing to do. I don't even know what kind of advice could I give to the guy :p Cutting all ties would be the least painful option, but he treasures that relationship, so I guess staying out of the love part of it instead of trying to help would be the best thing to do.

The word "cuck" is thrown around a lot, especially in the manga community. But this MC, without a single doubt, is the prime example of a cuck. He's stepping over his own happiness, supporting her love of his rival, to make her happy. There are ways of doing that without being a cuck, but he's hitting every cuck marker there is.
