Whether he sees people as inferior to him or not is neither my point nor relevant. It is fact that these people are very far below him in terms of combat power and strength of mind and heart. The words and actions of such people would be at most mildly uncomfortable like a small itch you feel but don't need to scratch. Hence the feather tapping on the face analogy. The other characters words and actions are like a feather tapping on the MC's face.
Also, certainly if we spend 40x more time training to run than someone else we wont breach the sound barrier. But what if we spend 40x more time training physical enhancement magic in order to run. Thats basically how these things work. Cuz a regular runner cant use magic and the physical body has limits but magic has no limits. Also its fiction. How does 500 years of training with someone that is considered by god the best person to make him the strongest not enough time to have him master more than 4 skills. Thats basically 125 years per skill.

He is with these people for 2 reasons: His daughter and to learn about society. A noble, a high ranking one at that, is definitely more than enough to satisfy these 2 conditions. He puts up with their arrogance and hostile nature (hostility from mostly the father and brother) because he is just that much of a higher level being than they are. They are like dust particles making him cough every and then.

Honestly hard to say.
The community surrounding chinese wn's can be just as uselessly toxic as the one surrounding isekai.
You could go on a reading spree on Wuxiaworld, for example.
Otherwise, Coiling Dragon and Desolate Era are fairly uncontroversial.

Idk, my impressions of Japanese swordsmanship is to have a really sharp blade and spending lots of effort and time to practice swinging the sword/s to repeatedly to get stronger and faster to surpass oneself in body, mind and will while turning everything into body memory.
Chinese swordsmanship seems heavily rely on their flashy/complex techniques in movement to confuse people in the early days and later go less flashy and more focused on the essential parts like swinging form/stance, attack power, speed and flexibility as they become more experienced.
However, most of the time.. systematic training can do better than being flashy and get k.o.'d in one quick, fierce and accurate hit.
