Jimi na Kensei wa Sore Demo Saikyou Desu - Vol. 2 Ch. 14

@InsaneInsomniac

One skilled, and training in every single powerful skill other than Sage Arts, for decades.

Keeping in mind that Sage Arts would've allowed him to live that long without any problems.
Keeping in mind that most natives of that world only can use 1 or extremely rarely 2 different skillsets.
Keeping in mind that he would never be able to maintain his focus on training for that long without a master teaching him, as he's already part of 'society' (he wouldn't be able to focus with his harem around him and growing old as well)
Keeping in mind that MC might improve in those decades.

@Robbini
I didn't say the "hero" we've already seen in this manga would likely manage, I just said "a true chosen hero", as in any normal broken OP MC from a different isekai series, and I did specify decades of INTENSE training as well

and while it is true this series's MC would be able to train during those same decades, as noted his growth is much slower than a normal hero's, so I assume any likely progress he might make was taken into consideration already...unless going out into society notably boosts his MC factor and he starts pulling BS powerups outta nowhere

oh look, they're interrogating a powerful 500 years old sage, geez i wonder what can they do if the sage want to lie...

I get that he's practically immortal and is just doing this to raise his daughter, but I still don't get why they're interrogating him like they have the upper hand and are in the right??

Aren't most names decided on by whim? My name was decided on because my parents were tired of arguing over names, so they just went with the very next name.

why are they acting like he's a criminal? he's old so what? why does he have to reveal anything to you people?

I just want to to y'all who have a hate boner for Saiga, I don't get why. Yeah, keeps coming back, but I just find it funny. I can imagine the scenes itself as annoying for some because there's no tension (though it's not like this manga is delaying riveting plotlines we are anticipating here) if I don't find it so amusing, but why hate him?

In fact, I even find him sympathetic. He reminds me of competitive athletes. Saiga tried to what anyone competitive player do is get back up and not give up. He just had no idea how big the gap was. But usually we respect the guy who keeps trying, not hate him. In most stories, it's the whiny guy that gives up immediately as annoying. The closest I see him whine he a single pane showing anger after getting whooped the second time. And of that one panel, I just find it amusing, not enraging.

I skipped to chapter 14 but now I understand from the comments i'm supposed to hate saiga. Kuso saiga!!!!! stop wasting panels!!!

Here im hoping they will finally give Sansui the respect he goddamn deserves

@RhoninFire Probably has something to do with Saiga being your typical modern isekai protagonist that's given every ability and never comes across any real difficulty who substitutes broken abilities and OP gear for effort. The thirty days of "effort" consisted of searching for a cave with his harem. All of that compared to a guy that sacrificed a normal life and spent 500 years in grueling effort to master four skills/techniques.

Personally I find Saiga being wiped across the floor kind of entertaining.
