@Rickymex Sansui is only held by Rain's wellbeing, as the house he's serving is the one actually providing her needs (shelter, food, edication, etc). The moment Rain grows up into an adult and becomes independent, Sansui might as well leave and restarts his training back in the forest, unless his marriage with Brauer creates some kind of a situation.

In the light novel he has more disciples, people all over who wanted to challenge the baby face swordsman, gets defeated and wants to learn from him.
The principle of the style is moving with precision and timing. Obverse what action others will take, and when they no longer can change that action. You make yours.
That's why future sight will not work. Because sansui never made a decision until you are already hit.

This was so short compared to the LN version of this fight. She was much more stubborn in that one
Huh. They toned down Sansui's "lesson".
She actually didn't give up immediately in the light novels after she understood the gulf between the two of them. She was freezing up and panicking. And then he lectured her. Ran only gave up after Sansui stated he would outright execute her if she didn't improve. Basically, this was strike two, and that meant her head was already on the metaphorical chopping block, and he let her know that.

I still dont understand why she was beat down this hard when she is a berserker, (thus dont control her action) but the hero dude who attacked him for no reason, other than is ego being bigger than himself, was never beaten seriously...
