@kaitengiri I normally don't comment in reply to opinions on how we go about your hobby, but I'm afraid I need to dispel any notion you and others might have about influencing it.

We did not rein in our comments. By pure coincidence, there was nothing in this chapter we wanted to comment on. We don't deliberately plant comments in the margins. We do it when we spontaneously (mostly I, in the case of this series) happen to think of something to comment on.

It's been a while, so I had to check it again, but chapter 156 has three comments on it. It's the typesetter's decision to typeset them or not, so I don't know how many will make it into the release. Just exercise your focus to avert them. We might choose a different font to make them easier to ignore, but that's about it.

There's nothing more distasteful than a translator or editor who, rather than letting an author simply tell his story, finds it necessary to inject his own counterpoints and ideologies every step of the way.
You know, readers can think for themselves. They can decide for themselves what's right and what's wrong, and if the author did a good job of conveying these moral dilemmas. They don't need to be held by the hand and instructed on the proper way to think about what the author wrote with footnotes and interjections inserted into the margin at every important point in the story.

I don't really care if the editor or translator adds notes just so long as they don't take up a lot of space on the page or cause any discrepancies to the translation. Is it that hard to ignore them? If they want a bit of fun doing their hobby then we should let them. If anything add their notes on a separate page.
